Malachi Ward1 StarCalled asking about a quick fix I needed on my car. Explained the job could be fixed with either a cable tie or bolt and he tried to charge me £60. When I explained other mechanics had quoted me £25 he was very rude and hung up. Ended up getting the job done for £5 at huncote garage 👍🏽Thursday 16th March 2023

sarfraz khan1 StarTo start of with the service was great as I got a quick response and quote. On the day of the actual call out I sent a text in the morning just to make sure the call out was still going ahead.
Bizarrely, I was met with a oddly stand offish phone call asking what I meant. On probing I was asked what "lemme" means as I messaged saying lemme know what time he would be able to make it this morning, which was preceeded with a "good morning" and ended with a "thank you."
I was unsure why I was being confronted, and chose to brush it off as we needed the side view mirror replacing and I didn't have time to get into a confrontation.
The job took just over an hour and we paid. Everything seemed fine until we realised the passenger door window would only open a few inches.
Luckily my wife has a friend who's dad we learnt was a mechanic and offered to have a look for us. We were told whoever done the job done it really bad as the electric wire was put back all wrong and was being caught by the window. Had we kept trying to open it, it could have torn the wire which would have made it an expensive job to fix.
We managed to get lucky, but it could have ended badly.Monday 16th November 2020
